Stonehaven Heritage Society will hear from their secetary, Gordon Ritchie, when he talks about transport in and around Stonehaven.
Gordon, next week’s speaker, has recently been researching bus companies who operated in Stonehaven from the 1920s up to the 1980s.
He will give an illustrated talk on how transport has developed over the years.
In particular, he has found out more recently about the Brickfield Bus, which operated from 1948 between the Market Square and the new housing estate at Brickfield via the station.
Also in attendance will be well-known bus enthusiast Derek Hunter, who will show a short film on buses and coaches from that era.
The meeting next Wednesday, March 25, at 7.30pm in St Bridget’s Hall, Dunnottar Avenue, is open to members, with visitors welcomed by the club.
