Expanding Dunnottar Primary into the empty Sheriff Court building is one option being discussed by Stonehaven Town Partnership (STP).
STP has launched its second round of consultation over Stonehaven’s iconic Court House building in Dunnottar Avenue.
The nine-page document sets out a range of possibilities for the use of the building, and suggests some proposals to progress.
Discussed in the document is the possibility of expanding the school into the empty building. The school recently received the worst rating achievable regarding suitability to deliver education.
The Scottish Court Service has given STP a deadline of March 31 to come up with suitable uses for the court building.
David Fleming from STP said: “All members of the public are asked to read the document and offer their comments as soon as possible. The document is available for download now from www.stpweb.org
“Furthermore, if anyone would like to offer help in progressing these ideas to improve the town, they should contact any STP Trustee.”
Other suggestions include a tourist information office, extra health centre facilities, small shops and a station for the popular land train.
