A section of the A90 between Pitskelly and Arbuthnott Junctions is to be affected by lane closures from Monday (September 26) for two weeks as part of a £100,000 road safety improvement scheme on the northbound carriageway.
The works will see new safety barriers being installed to form part of a strategy to improve road safety. Sections of the central reservations will also be upgraded.
To allow the works to take place safely and for the protection of road workers, lane closures will be in effect for the duration of works. Whilst no significant delays are expected, motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra time for travel.
Commenting on the improvements, Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Unit Representative, said: “Safety is a top priority for both BEAR Scotland and Transport Scotland and the delivery of this scheme is part of our commitment to that. We’ve planned the works to take place outwith the peak tourist season and our teams will look to complete the barrier installations as quickly and safely as possible.
“We’d encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website”
