Stonehaven and District Lions Club is gearing up to hold its annual senior citizens concert at Stonehaven Town Hall.

The free concert has been running for more than 20 years and organised by the Lions Club which was formed in 1979.

The event takes place on Thursday, April 21 at 7.30pm.

The Lions are keen to see a full house for the concert and will be operating a courtesy transport service for anyone who may have difficulty getting to and from the town hall.

Free tickets can be collected from Stonehaven Library on Evan Street on Saturday, April 16 from 11am till 1pm.

Craig Bunyan from the club got in touch with the Mearns Leader with information on the event.

He said: “A range of music and dance will be on offer and a cake and a cup of tea, or maybe something a bit stronger, will be on hand to loosen those vocal cords and get those feet tapping.”
