Organisers of the annual ‘Made in the Mearns’ craft exhibition are looking for local charities in the Mearns to support.
Amanda Cowie, event organiser and spokeperson said: “This exciting initiative will help small, hard-to-find local charities working in their chosen community on the issues they care about”
Last year, ‘Made in the Mearns’ held its first event and it proved to be a huge success in raising funds for the Dickson Hall in Laurencekirk.
Any group seeking to apply for funding should submit a letter of request out lining their charity, organisation or event.
Submissions can be hand delivered to the Swatchmaker, 34a High Street, Laurencekirk, or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively visit their facebook page and submit online. Charities will be announced prior to the event which takes place on Saturday, September 28.
