Millo win in charity competition

Mill O’Forest Primary School is one of two in Aberdeenshire to be selected as winners of the first ever nationwide Design a One Planet Picnic Pocket Garde Competition by environmental charity, Keep Scotland Beautiful.

Millo will now go on to plant and grow their winning designs which will form the Living Garden feature at Gardening Scotland this June. Mill O’ Forest Primary School focussed on the Keeping Stonehaven Tidy theme - reusing objects discarded locally and seeking to recreate the local landscape from seashore to woodland.

The Pocket Garden Competition, run in partnership between Keep Scotland Beautiful and the Garden for Life Forum, attracted 80 entries from over 40 Scottish schools. In total 18 winners were selected for their innovative designs.
