The team behind local musical theatre production ‘9 to 5’ have said they have been blown away by local talent during audition week - but more men are needed for the cast.
Auditions were held last weekend for the show, which will open to audiences next march, and promoter Chris Simpson said the level of talent was impressive.
She said: “There has been a fantastic standard from those who have auditioned already. We have filled all the female roles and a couple of the male roles, but we do need a few more guys to come forward.”
There are a range of male parts, from mid-20s, to upwards of mid-40s and all ages inbetween. Older male parts are not required to dance but younger parts should be able to dance.
“It’s a great way to meet people and be sociable, we are a very friendly group and it’s good fun”.
Rehearsals will be held every Tuesday at 7pm at Mackie Academy, with the first rehearsals on September 20. Anyone who wishes to audition can head along to the Academy, or you can find them on Facebook by searching for 9 to 5 auditions.
