A NATIONAL radio programme will be beaming live from Stonehaven next week.
BBC Radio Scotland will be broadcasting from St James Church in Arbuthnott Street next Friday in a special show about flooding.
A spokesman for the church said: “On Friday, March 1, Brian Taylor’s ‘Big Debate’ will take place here for BBC Radio 4.
‘‘On this day our church will have been restored to some semblance of order in preparation for the forthcoming baptism of our youngest member by Bishop Nigel.
“So BBC4, who are visiting towns which have suffered devastation through the floods - and Stonehaven is certainly one of them - are making a special programme of discussion and debate. There will be the usual panel of celebrities and political figures, and people from Stonehaven and the surrounding area are invited to come along and ask questions or make points.”
To be part of the audience you can apply online at www.bbc.co.uk/news/scotland/scotland_politics
Submit your topical questions to a panel of politicians and prominent figures online when you book.
The broadcast will take place between noon and 1pm, and the audience is welcome from 11.15am onwards.
