Kincardine and Mearns Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) have launched a new outreach service in Laurencekirk.
Starting from Wednesday October 7, residents of Laurencekirk and the surrounding areas will now be able to make an appointment with a trained adviser who will be available every Wednesday afternoon. The CAB service offers free support and advice on a range of important issues, such as employment, debt, housing and consumer rights.
Dedicated appointments will also be available with the Bureau’s Benefits specialist, for those who need assistance with eligibility, changes to their entitlements or require help to complete paperwork.
Bureau manager Jane Neilson-Adams said: “We are really pleased to bring this important outreach service to Laurencekirk. Residents living in the area face the same challenges as those living in the region’s towns and cities but have greater difficulties accessing advice due to the rural location. We hope that the service will be well used by the community and that we can be of great benefit.”
Appointments can be made by calling 01569 766578 and will be at the Mearns Academy Community Campus.
