Non-perishable items can be donated by putting them in the trolley that Asda has donated to the Jubilee Hall for the purpose.

The hall is open every Wednesday morning between 9 and noon for the Fine Piece Cafe and at regular times during the week as shown in the Jubilee Hall Diary. This can be found on the web-site at

Cllr Alison Evison said: “We are very grateful to the Jubilee Hall Committee for supporting the work of the Trussell Trust and the South Aberdeenshire Food Bank. The food donated here will help to ensure that there are emergency food boxes available for anyone in the area who is in need.”

“People who are assisted with emergency food are also given signposts as to where they can go for longer-term help.

The aim must be not only to address immediate need but also work towards a decrease in the current need for food banks, and to more sustainable support for members of our communities.”
