A new-look Aberdeenshire Council website that the council say will be more responsive and easier to view on smartphones and tablets has gone live this week.
The changed website went live on Monday with council saying people will notice “a clearer, slimmed-down site that aims to make it easier for visitors to find the services that matter to them most.” The site can be used for a number of things including paying a bill and finding out term dates for a local school.
Co-Leader Councillor Richard Thomson said: “This is about much more than simply the look of the site. The mechanics behind it mean that the services people search for the most will always feature on the homepage, and will change as the needs of users change.
“We want the council website to be something that people can fit into their everyday lives rather than expecting customers to work within the existing limitations of the site.”
