South West Aberdeenshire Citizens Advice Bureau is now offering specialist pensions guidance on the new pension freedom rules which came into force on April 6.
A fully-trained guidance specialist, Irene Smith, is offering face-to-face appointments which can be booked directly through South West Aberdeenshire CAB. Irene covers Aberdeenshire Council areas Marr, Garioch and Kincardine and Mearns from the Westhill office base.
“We are very much looking forward to offering information and guidance on the options available to people aged 50 or over who want to explore their options under the new pension freedom rules,” said Eveline Crossan, Bureau manager.
“We are also working in partnership with Kincardine and Mearns CAB at Stonehaven and Gordon Rural Action at Huntly and Inverurie to offer the service locally, as well using our own CAB outreach locations in Banchory, Aboyne, Alford, Ballater, Braemar, Strathdon and Tarland,” she added.
Appointments are available Monday to Friday throughout south Aberdeenshire. Contact Irene for an appointment on 01224 747714.
