Angus North and Mearns MSP Nigel Don is ready to take the stage at Party in the Park this weekend.
The MSP, who has an array of musical talent is scheduled for a slot at the family friendly festival this Sunday July 26.
Nigel Don MSP said: “I started playing the piano as a child and have been fortunate to be able to enjoy music as a hobby throughout my working life. I also play the organ and various brass instruments – you will have found me in the trombone section of Tayside Symphony Orchestra many years ago. I also enjoyed singing with the Stonehaven Chorus recently.
I intend to play some solo piano music at the Party in the Park and the emphasis will be on relaxing music after the activities of the afternoon.”
Festival Organiser Chris Stirk said she had huge respect for Nigel getting involved with a post on the event Facebook page last month
The post said: “I would like to put out a great big respect to Nigel Don MSP who is putting his body where his mouth is over austerity and has put himself forward to do a slot at party in the park.
“So come along and listen to him you don’t see many politicians getting this involved in the community I’m sorry to say. But well done Nigel and a great big thanks.”
