It’s pantomime time again with The Song Shop presenting “Cinderella” in Montrose Town Hall from Tuesday, November 29, to Saturday, December 3.

The classic rags-to-riches tale of the young girl put upon by her evil stepmother and three ugly stepsisters, has all the usual ingredients to provide a great night of family entertainment. Supporting Cinderella along the way will be her best friend Buttons, her downtrodden father Baron Hardup, her Forest Friends and her warm and couthy Fairy Godmother.

Good conquers evil and Cinderella lives happily ever after with the dashing Prince Charming, the man of her dreams. With a vast cast of adults and youngsters, jokes galore, a very messy slapstick cooking scene, bright and colourful costumes and well-known songs, Cinderella is just the tonic to beat those winter blues.

The Song Shop students have undergone six weeks of intensive rehearsals and the pantomime has an experienced cast of principals bringing the well-known tale to life, The evening performances start at 7.30pm with an additional matinee on the Saturday, starting at 3.30pm.

Tickets are available from Henry Hogg’s newsagent, High Street, Montrose, or from The Song Shop on 01674 673236.
