A group of Dunnottar Primary School pupils who were inspired to try and make a difference have raised over £600 for charity.
Edith Martin and Sarah Jones and their friends were encouraged by their school to think about “pay it forward” at the end of their summer term. Then sadly during the holidays, their fellow Dunnottar pupil, Sam Dorrance, passed away after battling a brain tumour for the past year. They came up with the idea of a sale and wrote to Minister Fyfe Blair of Fetteresso Church and asked if they could have a sale after church one Sunday. The girls made Christmas decorations, chocolate and sweetie treats. They also collected items no longer wanted to sell, and at their sale on December 4 they raised an amazing £657.33!
