Police have renewed their appealing for information regarding a man who went missing from Stonehaven on January 2.

Paul Bowden was last seen in Aberdeen.

It is thought that the 47-year-old was seen buying camping equipment in the city at lunchtime last Friday, with police unaware of his movements after that.

As the Mearns Leader and Kincardineshire Observer went to press yesterday (Thursday) a police spokesperson said: “We are still appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of Paul Bowden.

“Enquiries have established that on Friday, January 2, he purchased a green rucksack, green sleeping bag, camping mat, black two-man tent, black Peter Storm Parka jacket with furry hood and gloves from a retail outlet in Aberdeen City Centre.

“He was seen within the centre around midday, however his direction of travel after that is unknown.

“If you see Mr Bowden, or anyone seen camping and fitting this description please contact us on 101 or Crime stoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
