Plans to fill Stonehaven with tourism technology which would rival New York came a step closer this week.

Alan Craig from Mackie Academy returned to Stonehaven and District Community Council this week to let them know that the project is coming along well and they are ready to start setting out the codes.

He explained that around 20 sites for the codes have now been identified and that Mackie pupils were hard at work creating the website and information.

The group requested £600 from the Community Council to set out the first of the codes.

The Community Council agreed to give this money to the scheme.

Ultimately the project hopes to be self sufficient.
