Aberdeenshire Council’s Kincardine and Mearns Rangers have organised an event for this Friday and are looking for local residents to get involved and find out who comes out to feed when the sun goes down.
The Bat and Moth night is due to take place this Friday September 4 from 7.30pm-9.30pm at Portlethen Community Woodland.
Helen Young Countryside Ranger said: “Who comes out to feed when the sun goes down? Discover the fascinating world of Portlethen’s night flying creatures. Rap up warm and bring a torch and join our experts on this joint event with NESbats and Butterfly Conservation.”
The meeting point for the event is at Portlethen Parish Church car park. Events need to be pre-booked, get in touch with the Kincardine and Mearns ranger on 01569 768292.
