NINE Stonehaven men got together last month to support Movember.

Movember is a charity event which raises awareness of men’s health and in particular, prostate and testicular cancer.

The team of “StoneyMoBros” comprised Ken Henderson (team captain), Iain Patience, David Birse, Andrew Bradford, Paul Clyne, Jerry Sim, William Pittendreigh, Richard Mclellan and Jon Thurlow. They started growing their facial hair on November 1,some members had to shave off some age old facial hair to start again, while others had to start from scratch. They got together on November 30 to all shave off their growth.

So far, StoneyMoBros have raised more than £6000 and are currently ranked at 124 nationwide- an achievement the team are delighted with.

They would like to thank to everyone who kindly gave their generous support.

Movember is an event which takes place in November every year and sees men growing facial hair, mostly moustaches, for the entire month to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health.
