Crossreach, The Bungalow, held a strictly fundraiser at the Stonehaven Town Hall Friday, November 27 that we are sure Craig Revel Horwood would describe as ‘FAB-U-LOUS AND A-MAZING’.

The Strictly Bungalow Event raised over £1,200.00, the evenings aim was to raise funds to support the service users at The Bungalow who all have profound and multiple disabilities and complex health needs to access holidays and activities both locally and further afield.

The evening’s entertainment began with the five service users, Abi, Helen, Ashleigh, Scott and Edward and their carers as they took to the dance floor performing a wheelchair dance.

Social dancers Haley Bouma and Kyle Sim, preforming a polished Cha-Cha and Mrs and Mr Draffan, preformed a slow waltz, both couples gave an outstanding performance and set high expectations amongst the audience.

Strictly winners were Anne and Ged Adams who thrilled the audience with their cheeky Cha-Cha to ‘Kiss me Honey Honey Kiss me’ by Shirley Bassey.

Kathleen Keith, The Bungalow Service Manager said: “It was a fantastic evening which could not have been possible without the support of everyone who came, participated and helped raise this fantastic amount of money and helped raise awareness for our service users.”

The Bungalow would like to express thanks to dancers, Kirsty and Bill, Carol and Graeme Eddie, Anne and Ged Adams, and Gillian and Rev. Fyfe Blair. The judges Mr. and Mrs Evans, Sandra ‘Darcy’ McWilliams and Derek ‘Bruno’ Keith. Steve Peacock for compering the evening, Gail Sangster for the keeping the crowd well-watered, the Ury players for the lightening, Number 44 for the food, the Town Hall staff and everyone who attended the evening.
