Staff and customers at M&Co in Stonehaven are celebrating after adding to a whopping £1.6m raised for Cancer Research UK.
The store has contributed £2232 towards the fundraising total to help eradicate cancer.
The team managed to raise money through raffles, hampers, fashion shows, dress- ups and providing stations in store for the public to donate quality items to help stock Cancer Research UK shops.
M&CO area manager Linda Graham said: “The generosity of our staff and customers is truly inspiring and they have pulled out all the stops to raise this magnificent sum.
“Everyone knows someone affected by cancer and that’s why we want to do our bit.
‘‘Thank you to all our customers who have supported us.”
The number of people being diagnosed with cancer is going up, but the good news is that, thanks to research, survival rates have doubled in the past 40 years.
More people across the UK are now beating the disease than ever before.
Caroline Silke, Cancer Research UK head of corporate partnerships, said: “We are extremely grateful for all the time and effort invested by the staff and customers at M&CO in Stonehaven.
“Everyone should be extremely proud of their achievement.
‘‘All funds raised will go towards the charity’s research to beat more than 200 types of cancer.’’
