former Stonehaven man Stuart Cameron is heavily involved in the “All You Need is Love” project which helps children near the Thai-Burma border.
Stuart, a pupil of Mackie Academy 1973-1978, began his career in advertising and marketing. After working in Aberdeen, Stuart moved to London with Saatchi and Saatchi which took him to work and live abroad. Stuart later settled in Dubai where he ran his own companies and over the last four years has become a Film Director/Producer. Stuart’s success has recently allowed him to look at not for profit opportunities and two years ago this took him to Thailand where he has been working with one of the “Good Morning Schools” in Mae Sot, which lies just over the Burma/Thailand Border.
Stuart has worked tirelessly in his attempt to secure a future for these schools which offer an education and nutrition to the children of Burmese Migrant Workers. Stuart has supported the launch of the “All You Need is Love” Project and has Directed and Produced a supporting documentary to raise awareness.
The links below gives further information on the organisation and need for support.
The organisation has recently had to close two schools due to lack of funding and is in a crisis situation, so Stuart would appreciate support from his home town.
All You Need Is Love focuses on the many thousands of children that exist in and around the Thai-Burma border and specifically through the children of Good Morning School in Mae Sot, Thailand. The children’s indomitable spirit energises and reconciles us with values and beliefs that truly matter. In turn, the project thanks them by equipping them with the knowledge, through education to create a better future for their community, their families and themselves.
