A STONEHAVEN drama group are putting on a musical to raise money for the charity Help the Heroes.
Great Child Productions (GCPRo) have been busy rehearsing at the St. James Episcopal Church in Stonehaven, for their musical “Road 2 Rock” which will be performed in Aberdeen Arts Centre at the end of this month.
“Road to Rock,” tells the story of an ambitious young man, Conor Donald, who decides to give up his job as an accountant to pursue a career as a rockstar. The musical follows Conor’s journey to stardom, and looks at his rocky love life as he is reunited with “the one” his ex-girlfriend Rose Carter.
Money raised from the show is going to the National Charity Help the Heroes, which aims to help service personnel who have been wounded in Britain’s current conflicts. Since its launch in 2007, the charity has raised £100 million.
The show is going to be performed in the Aberdeen Arts Centre from August 31 to the September 3. All the cast and crew are aged between 12 and 25 years and are all volunteering their time and talents to raise money for the good cause.
