An application for the development of a wind turbine near Stonehaven has been given the thumbs-up.
Councillors at this week’s Kincardine and Mearns area committee approved the turbine at a site to the north east of Burnhead Cottage, Netherley.
The application came before the area committee because there was a representation by the North Kincardine Rural Community Council who raised a number of concerns about the application, including the proximity to houses and impact on the view of Cookney Church from the B979.
Four other representations were received, however these came from two households and were counted as two representations.
The report recommended approval of the application with a number of conditions, to which councillors agreed.
