Ury plans

The company who developed plans for the Ury House and Estate before they went into administration in 2008 have resolved their financial problems, and are resuming progress. They will announce the first stage in the revised consultation process for the Estate – including a 18 hole championship golf course – at the Stonehaven & District Community Council meeting next Tuesday.

“This is great news for Stonehaven, and we eagerly await the discussion on the details of the plans” said David Fleming, Chairman of the S&DCC.

The Community Council are offering a training opportunity for someone to learn how to take minutes of its meetings.

“This is valuable skill and we recognise that it will take time for someone to become proficient, so we provide support during that period. There is also a payment of £50 per meeting available,” said Mr Fleming. Anyone interested should contact Alistair Lawrie on 01569 762688.
