Water Aid Cafe

Wednesday December 16 , 10am-11.30am Water Aid Café, Delicious Hot Pancakes, home baking and fresh coffee and tea and the opportunity to meet up for some fine company and chat.

Due to your continued support of our Monthly Coffee Mornings from the Water Aid team managed to raise over £1300 in 2015.

This money has been used to bring fresh water where it is desperately needed.

Church Café and Water Aid Café

As we come to the end of Another year we are happy that the support for our café is as strong as ever. The totals raised for 2015 are Water Aid £1,370 and The Church Café £1,465.

Thank you to everyone who joins us for what we hope is an hour of good food and fellowship; a special word for the faithful “home bakers” and for those who set up month by month, we appreciate all that is done to make these mornings special.

Christmas Sing-a-long at Castle Lodge

Wednesday December 16, Christmas Sing- a- long Starting at 6.30pm at Castle Lodge, Kirkburn,

Please join this small group who visit the Residents of Castle Lodge.

We bring back many Happy Memories by singing well known secular and sacred songs.

Afterwards we have a nice cuppa and some time to have a chat with the residents which is appreciated and of benefit to all concerned.


This year we collected in 218 boxes for the 2015 shoebox appeal. Thank you to all who supported this very worthwhile cause.

Unfortunately Blythwood have notified us that they are no longer able to pick up on a monthly basis from Gourdon lay-by. This means there will no longer be a collection point at the Church Centre. The nearest pick up point will now be Stonehaven.

Please contact Blythewood direct for dates and times. They will still collect shoebox’s for next years appeal.

Bervie Youth Project

Bervie Youth Project had a great sports Session but due to a prior hall booking there was no Youth Café on Saturday December 5.

Saturday December 12 looks to be a great session of Sports FREE to all P6 and above, Sports choosen on arrival. 3pm-4pm at Bervie Sports Centre, Kirkburn, Inverbervie.

Youth Café is 7pm-9pm at The Herd Centre, Townhead, Inverbervie FREE for all P7 and above.

Fotheringham Property Development have Sponsored all of our December Projects, securing sports, Youth café and a Pizza Party to celebrate Christmas, The continued generosity of Fotheringham’s means we can run FREE for local Youths, providing Sports Activities and Youth Café to all members.

Bervie Food Bank

Bervie Food Bank are preparing for the Festive Season by booking in extra emergency food parcels and now working with Bervie Primary School.

Bervie P5 class are collecting in food donations as part of their Festive Nativity Topic work.

Caroll Evans from Bervie Food Bank said “We are delighted that the P5 class are working on food banks and highlighting the use and need of Food Banks in our area, we are a vital resource to many people from different back grounds and the work the School does is great for Education and the reasons people use food banks.
