“Woman of the Way”
WOW will next be meeting today (Thursday).
Women of the Way is a group open to ladies of the parish. It meets fortnightly to learn more about God and discuss how members can apply their faith in their daily lives and to support one another. As well as studying the Bible, and a time of prayer, the group always have lots of fun at meetings.
They have recently welcomed a number of new members, and are always delighted to have new people along. WOW meet in Arbuthnott at the home of one of the members on Thursdays from 7.45 – 9.45pm. Bervie Church Choir
The Church Choir have resumed practices in the choir room, Bervie Church, on Wednesdays from 7.30-8.30pm.

Bervie School Community Project with The Maggie Law
The Maggie Law Maritime Museum is sponsoring a project with Primary 4 at Bervie School.
The project began last November, and the pupils will produce a portfolio about the life and times of Hercules Linton, and the Cutty Sark, which will include documentary material, music songs and poetry which will be produced by March 2015 and presented to the Royal National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, the home of the Cutty Sark.
The project is being coordinated by Dave Ramsay, project director of the Maggie Law Museum, and Jacky Niven the Gourdon artist, working with the head and deputy headteachers and Primary 4 teachers.
Jacky will be assisting the pupils put together the various graphic design elements of their portfolio for a formal presentation of their Project.
Debbie Ryan, resident artist for Brighter Bervie, will be returning the end of the month to run craft workshops, for Bervie School, Castle Lodge ,Parent & Toddler Group, Scouts, Bervie Lunch Club, Beavers, Bervie Church Centre Daycare group, Cubs and Bervies Craft Group Knit & Natter.

A mystery wood carving has been discovered on the walk round to Bervie Beach, If anyone has any information about the sculpture, where it came from, who installed it and when, “we are dying to know”!
This is not a new sculpture and it becomes covered in the summertime with overgrowing foliage.
