Community Litter Pick

This Saturday, March 28, 10am-noon, meet from Bervie Church, King Street, Inverbervie.

Along with our friends at 1st Inverbervie Rainbows, 1st Inverbervie Cubs, Bervie Youth Project, all Bervie residents are invited to come along and show support for our annual community litter pick, where volunteers tidy up the streets, parks and walkways around Inverbervie, in association with Keep Scotland Tidy. Aberdeenshire Council, Watson Bervie/What’s on Inverbervie and Bervie Cleaners all come together and pull resources.

Come along for half an hour, or however long you can spare.

Bervie’s Men’s Shed

Interested parties are invited to attend a meeting next Tuesday, March 31, at 7.30pm in the Burgh Chambers, above the library, Church Street, Inverbervie.

A committee must be formed for this group to move forward, with the Support of The RBICC Royal Burgh of Inverbervie Community Council.

The Livingrooms Inverbervie

An Easter Exhibition is in place until Saturday, April 4, from 10am-3pm during opening hours at The Livingrooms, Church Street Inverbervie.

Exhibits will depict the meaning of Easter through poetry, art, photography, story, song and even food and drink! Come and see it for yourself.

Citizen of the year and Young Citizen of the year 2015 nominations

Please submit your nominations in writing, stating your nominated person and reason for the nomination and include your name and address.

These can be submitted through the Watson Bervie/Whats on Inverbervie facebook page, email to carollevans77@btinternet.com or by posting to 50 Church Street, Inverbervie DD10 0RU.

The nomination process will be open from now until Sunday, May 31.

Bervie Youth Project

Members and committee were lucky enough to enjoy the Saturday matinee at Stonehaven’s “Ma Simpson’s Production” of Hairspray the Musical.

Young members met with some cast and crew after the fantastic show to get a taste of how it works.

Story time and Rhyme Time

Bervie Library, Church Street, Inverbervie will be taking place this Saturday, March 28, 10.30-11am. This free activity is designed for pre-school children.

There will be no Rhyme Time for April, due to staff holidays.

1st Inverbervie Scout Group

The official reopening of the hall will take place by Invitation on Saturday, March 28.

1st Inverbervie Cubs

Family Beetle Drive tomorrow (Friday) from 7-9pm in the Scout Hall, Church Street.

All children and parents invited to have a fun social evening.

This is part of the Scout Hall Grand Opening Weekend events.

Bervie Lunch Club

Bervie Lunch Club meet once a fortnight in the Masonic Hall, King Street, Inverbervie, from noon-1.30pm. They enjoy a two-course lunch, usually soup and pudding, costing £4. Next meeting on Tuesday, March 31.

Bervie Social Club

Bervie Social Club has an average weekly attendance of 100 members, who meet every Saturday for some bingo fun at The Burgh Hall, Farquhar Street.

Membership forms are available from head caller Alan Reid and his dedicated team of helpers.

Bingo is currently meeting at revised winter hours and eyes down at 7pm during the colder months.

Raffle and refreshments are available.
