Huntly started the match positively, attacking down the left and putting Smith and Avis under pressure early.
Between them they did well to clear the ball with Avis being clipped as he moved forward. Webster took the resultant free kick and passed to Blacklaw whose effort went wide.
Blacklaw created the next chance by tee’ing up McHardy whose his effort was blocked.
The visitors came closest to taking the lead. A a long ball down the right caused confusion, Leisk was quick off his line but caught with the striker lobbing the ball goalward butr Smith got back and cleared off the line for a corner.
Collie forged a chance for himself, getting the better of the defender and crashed a left foot effort off the bar.
Bervie grabbed the lead through a corner. Collie sent the ball across and Boyd nodded home Bervie’s opening goal of the season.
Huntly sent over a dangerous ball however Davies was hand to clear with a powerful header.
Huntly started the second half brightly and Leisk had to be on his toes when theysurprised the home defence with a long throw which made it as far as the penalty spot. Leisk played the ball our quickly to Blacklaw who broke forward feeding McLaughlin, however his effort was wide.
The visitors’ pressure then paid off, Blacklaw gave a foul away whichallowed Huntly to test Leisk and although he got a hand to it he could only parry the effort and it was nodded in for the equalizer.
Bervie’s lead was restored shortly after, as the ball came over from a corner the referee blew for a push. Salmon stepped up and slotted home the penalty.
However, Huntly again got back on level terms but then Bervie grabbed a winner following a throw, the ball was rolled back to Blacklaw who struck the ball powerfully from 20 yards out with it taking a deflection leaving the keeper helpless.
