Luthermuir WFC welcomed the visit of Aberdeen Development on a sunny and blustery afternoon at Luthermuir Park. After some recent good results against the top of the table teams Luthermuir were looking to get three points and continue their good form. Straight from the kick-off the Muir girls went at Aberdeen. After some good play they broke the deadlock on 6 minutes when Brough lifted the ball over the back line and realised Lownie, the ball was racing away from her but the keeper ran out and miss-kicked. Lownie picked the ball up and rounded the keeper to fire home for 1-0.

On 16 minutes Luthermuir doubled their lead when Godsall won the ball just in the Aberdeen half and fired the ball high towards the goal, as it bounced before the keeper it deceived her and went in off the bar.

Luthermuir were dominating their opponent’s now and extended their lead on 27 minutes when a ball was played from the defender to the keeper and Lownie nipped in and fired it high past the keeper for 3-0. Aberdeen started to get more in the game and for the next ten minutes had some great passing but failed to trouble. On 39 minutes luthermuir made it four when Brough picked up the ball out on the left, as she cut back inside she fired a shot from 30 yards which sailed over the keeper and into the top corner. HT 4-0.

Another goal came on 51 minutes when a ball forward by Middleton was controlled well by Lownie on the edge of the box, as she spun the defender she raced into the box and fired it home for 5-0 and her hat-trick. Luthermuir eased off in the second half but it was a good polished performance from the girls.FT 5-0
