Stonehaven travelled to Aberdeen to face Dee Ladies in the final league game before the summer break.

Stoney knew that all three points would keep them one point off the top of the table but both teams had chances in the early stages, without anyone being able to find that killer finish.

Stonehaven took the lead through Taylor, a ball from midfield played into her and she managed to lob the Dee Ladies’ keeper.

Stonehaven got their second before half time when a great cross in from the left from Urquhart found E. Bowie who volleyed home from close range.

Dee Ladies started the second half knowing they needed to get a goal back to try get back into the game, most of their chances coming from corners and balls over the top, but they were unable to find a way past the Stoney defence.

Stonehaven got their third goal of the match, a fine finish from Taylor which was also her second of the match.

It was a great performance from the whole Stonehaven team who were unlucky not to have won by a greater margin.

Next game for Stonehaven is the second round of the Scottish Cup, away to first division team Aberdeen Reserves on June 22.
