JOHNSHAVEN, who lost 5-0 at Luthermuir in the league last Wednesday, exited the first round of the Association Trophy on Saturday, beaten by Stoneywood.

Stoneywood took the lead in the 10th minute Johnshaven keeper MacLean saved an initial shot, but a second attemptgave the home side the lead.

A couple of minutes later Scott shot from the edge of the box but the Stoneywood keeper saved well.

johnshaven got a goal back in 32 minutes. Sean Blease was about to shoot when he was tackled and the ball ended up in the net for an own-goal.

In the 43rd minute Dundas was fouled in the box and Steven Scott slotted the ball low into the net from the spot.

A minute later Dundas hit the ball on the volley but the Stoneywood keeper saved.

In the opening minute of the second half, Smith got the ball across the face of the goal but no one from Johnshaven was there to put it into the net.

In the 49th minute a Stoneywood free kick was headed home to put them back in the lead.

In 53 minutes in a carbon copy of their third goal, a Stoneywood free kick was knocked down to their striker who shot home to make it 4-2.

In the 66th minute, MacLean brilliantly tipped a long range shot over the bar.

Five minutes later a shot from the edge of the box by Sean Blease was saved.

Smith shot straight at the keeper, then a minute later another shot from Smith was well saved.

two minutes from time Stoneywood completed the scoring. They beat the offside trap and the ball was lobbed over the advancing keeper.
