The Stonehaven and Newtonhill dancers of the Walker School of Dance recently enjoyed a lovely early Christmas present with a fantastic set of results in their British Association of Teachers of Dance examinations.

Pupils between the ages of three and 17 took part and all were successful in both their Highland and Scottish National tests, presided over by BATD examiner Janette Shearer from Crieff.

A number of the girls were awarded the top grade of Highly Commended.

School principal Celeste Walker said she was “delighted with the effort exerted by the dancers and believes that it will motivate them to work even harder when they return to class in 2014.”

The day was a personal success for Celeste too, who passed her Scottish National Members examination
with 93%.

The Walker School of Dance is entering its tenth year in 2014 and Celeste is keen to continue to develop her small school in Stonehaven and Newtonhill.

Any parents who would like more information on lessons (from age 3 and upwards) should contact Celeste at walkerdanceschool@hotmail.com or on Stonehaven 760369.
