Mill O’ Forest Primary school recently held its annual badminton championships at Portlethen Academy with plenty of action taking place.

The tournament attracted more than 44 hopefuls playing singles, mixed and level doubles over the course of the day.

The competition is open to any Mill O’ Forest pupil and experienced players are challenged by being paired with junior club members and in some cases completely novice entrants.

June Reynolds said: “A very enjoyable day was had by players, parents and volunteers. Thanks go to everyone involved in the school badminton club and to the continued support from the school and also, Joan Prieur, Aberdeenshire Active Sports Officer.”
