Successful festival for Garioch gymnasts
Garioch Gymnasts had another excellent competition, at Aberdeenshire Council’s Gymnastics & Trampoline Festival, on Sunday December 7, 2014.
The event, at the Beach Leisure Centre in Aberdeen, presented 42 competitors from the Garioch Club, based at the Garioch Community Centre in Inverurie. Between them they won an amazing 41 medals, including 3 Overall Champions. The introduction of the Boys Only class, which the club started in August, has been tremendously successful, resulting in many more boys from the club taking part in this competition and 2 of them being crowned Overall Champions.
For many, this was the children’s first time competing outside the club and the coaches are very proud of them for their dedication and hard work. The club would also like to thank the coaches and judges, who helped on the day, and the parents for their continued support of the club.
