Members of Laurencekirk Artist’s Society will hold their fourth annual exhibition over the weekend of October 25 and 26.
Twelve artists are to take part this year, in what promises to be an exciting and varied exhibition. The show features a diverse range of subjects and genres - from landscape to seascape, portraiture to flower studies.
And, while most of the work is best described as representational, there are a variety of approaches in a wealth of different media in this eclectic show.
A spokesperson said: ‘‘Though it would be fair to say that landscapes dominate, the artist’s hope that there will be something on show for everyone.
‘‘Following on the success of their 2013 charity initiative which saw £420 donated to local charities, the exhibition will feature a section devote to “smaller works.” The paintings are all originals and proceeds from their sale will, once again, go to support local charities.
‘‘All in all, there is much to celebrate and much to enjoy in this colourful, engaging and delightful show.’’
The exhibition on Saturday and Sunday, 25th and 26th, will be in The Venue, 84 High Street, Laurencekirk, open to the public between 10am and 4pm and admission free.
