A puppet show for quirky adults and children by theatre company ‘Silly Boys’ is making it’s way to Fettercairn this Saturday

It’s not very often that you can call grown men ‘Silly Boys’ without being insulting.

However, ‘Silly Boys’ is a small, independent theatre company who are bringing their latest show ‘The Tallest Horse on Earth,’ to Fettercairn Hall on November 9.

Sue Waddicor, administrator of local charity Angus Arts - who are hosting the show - explained: “There’s something very appealing about a company who call themselves ‘Silly Boys’!

“They’re relatively new on the scene but they’re dedicating themselves to producing innovative and exciting theatre of the highest quality, and that’s the sort of show we’re keen to bring to the North-east.

“They’re visiting us as part of a nationwide tour with just a few dates in Scotland, so we’re very lucky to be able to host them in Fettercairn.

“The show is about a little boy called Tim who happens to be the proud owner of the tallest horse on earth… or so he thinks!

“When he embarks on an adventure he only has one trusty companion in mind, and together the duo explores the countryside, meeting lost children and magical creatures along their way, resulting in an epic crusade of the smallest proportions.

“It’s a warm-hearted puppet show told with live music, shadow puppetry and a large dollop of giant-smashing and should appeal to children and quirky grown ups!”

Angus Arts is well known for the wide range of arts experiences it offers, bringing top quality theatre, music, puppetry, workshops and other events to a rural audience, and once again they would like to thank NEAT (North East Arts Touring), supported by Creative Scotland.

‘The Tallest Horse on Earth’ starts at 3pm on Saturday at the village hall and tickets costing £7/£5 and can be purchased from Angus Arts on 01356 648669, by emailing or online with NEAT
