A holiday home company has donated free breaks to armed forces personnel and their families at three UK parks, including St Cyrus.

Wyldecrest Parks has gifted five stays to be taken at holiday parks in St Cyrus, Bockenfield Country in Felton, Northumberland, and Saltmarshe Castle in Bromyard, Herefordshire.

The donation is part of charity Give Us Time’s mission to give British military personnel and their families free holidays, so they have the chance to relax and reconnect with each other.

Its aim is to connect these families with hotels, resorts, holiday cottage owners and timeshare properties that have empty rooms to fill, taking donated holidays and matching them with military families in need of rest, rehabilitation and reconnection after tours of duty.

Launched in 2012 by Dr. Liam Fox MP, who worked as an Army medic and later as Secretary of State for Defence, the charity has more than 1000 soldiers registered to its database nowadays.

Alfie Best, chairman on Wyldecrest Parks, said: “Wyldecrest Parks hopes to positively contribute for the lives of those British

soldiers.

‘‘For that reason, we’ve chosen some of the most relaxing holiday parks in the country.

‘‘I’m sure they’ll find everything they need there to recover and to enjoy great moments with their loved ones.”

The chairman owns a portfolio of 46 residential and holiday mobile home sites across England, Scotland and Wales. The company, which won the 2015 LondonlovesExcellence Retail and Property Business Award, is set to become the largest one within its industry sector.

It will finalize the celebrations of its 15th anniversary by the end of 2016.
