Stonehaven’s Bervie Braes have reopened once again for the summer season, and we are keento hear the views of local residents on this road.
Opinion has been split throughout the closed period as to whether the road should be open all year round - with limits in space for speed and weight.
Councillors at February’s meeting of the Kincardine and Mearns Area Committee were in agreement a report showed that, economically, the re-opening of the road had been positive for the town.
However, they could not agree on whether the re-opening should be extended for a full year.
The local community campaigned for the road to be reopened following a major landslip in 2009. Currently it is one-way from April until October.
But we want to hear your views on the Braes.
Should they be open all year round? Should the weight and speed restrictions be put in place?
